Earlier this year I applied to a PhD program in Rehabilitation Counselor Education at Michigan State University. I earned my Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from MSU in 2005. I've always wanted to get my PhD and become a professor... well, apparently now is not my time. I got an email this afternoon letting me know that I was not selected because my entrance exam scores were too low... I hate standardized testing and I get really bad test anxiety. I know I didn't prepare as well as I could have, but its too late for that now!
Oh well... there's always next year. I am a big believer that things happen for a reason, so I suppose I'll let the big guy upstairs guide me on my next journey :-)
I cried for all of 5 minutes after I read the email. But really, I have no one to blame but myself. So, I put my big girl pants on and I am moving on.
